Natural Fertility Treatments & Medicine for Melbourne Women

At Dr Christine Cui's  Natural Fertility Clinic, we support women to conceive naturally by encouraging improvements in their general well-being, emotional well-being and specifically by assisting with improvements in their physiological health indicators and fertility indicators. This is achieved by having regular Acupuncture therapy combined with Chinese herbal medicine and improving health behaviours.

Acupuncture has a world-wide reputation among alternative therapies for improving fertility and especially supporting western medical infertility management.

Dr Christine Cui has a special interest in natural fertility care and promoting women’s well being in conjunction with western medicine. (Source:

To achieve the best results with natural approaches to improving fertility, women should monitor their body temperature in order to know when they start to ovulate. A fertile period of time exists immediately overlapping with ovulation (24-48 hours before to 24-48 hours following). In other words, this is the best time for a couple to make love because this time is known to be the most fertile for women to conceive and healthy sperm may effectively have an ovum to fertilise.

Now that you know that recognising the ovulation time period is important, the next step is to confidently identify when you will be ovulating.

How do you know when you are ovulating?

Here are some of the physical signs:

  • Mucus changes
  • Vaginal Secretions of cervical fluid (ie. Increase stretchy fluid)
  • Change in body temperature
  • Change in sex hormones**

The duration of ovulation is usually between 6 to 12 hours. If you are still unsure, it is also good to check with ovulation urine test kits (**LH hormone urine screening) or other fertility testing methods.
