What are Endometriosis and the symptoms?

Women who experienced difficulty in conceiving could have endometriosis symptoms. Around three-quarters of them would have painful menstruation or pelvic pain.  The severity of the symptoms is usually related to the misplaced tissue and not how much of the misplaced tissue there is.

The connection between fertility and Endometriosis is quite significant for women over the age of 25 who are trying to conceive.  The reason being is that endometrial cells release chemicals that affect the embryo’s early-stage development, as well as interfere with the ability to conceive.

Below listed are possible benefits of acupuncture for women who suffer from Endometriosis:

1. Acupuncture may increase blood flow in the pelvic area

Endometriosis caused by misplaced tissue, where the blood is flowing outside the uterus, thus causing pain and infertility. By increasing blood flow in the pelvic area, it may nourish this area with more nutrients, hormones and oxygen needed for women to conceive.

2. Possibility of stress level reduction and improvement of body immune system

Acupuncture may improve both health and its immune system by stimulating different areas of the body.  It may also balance the hormone in the body, which plays an important role in eliminating endometriosis symptoms. Hence, it will improve the chance of conceiving.
