What type of services does Dr Christine Cui offer?

At Dr Christine Cui clinic, we offer services for natural fertility, unexplained infertility, miscarriages, Endometriosis, Period Pain, Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID), irregular uterine bleeding, UTI, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (P.C.O.S) and Thyroid Dysfunction.

Can I claim acupuncture consultation through HICAPS?

Yes, you can claim acupuncture consultation straight through our HICAPS machine. You will need to bring your private health insurance card in order to do this.

How often should I come in for acupuncture?

This depends on each individual case because everyone has different management. However, we do recommend a patient to come once or twice a week for the first few weeks to stabilise the condition and then once a week or once two weeks until the duration of the treatment.

What is the IVF Acupuncture treatments recommendation?

The recommended treatments are as follows: 1. Prior to starting your IVF Cycle (once a week), 2. During the stimulation phase, 3. Acupuncture before and after egg collection, 4. A day before/on the day of the Embryo Transfer (within 24 hours), 5. A Day after/on the day of the Embryo Transfer (within 24 hours), 6. Once a week until the blood test result confirm, 7. Once a week during the first trimester of pregnancy

Can I expect immediate results from acupuncture?

This depends on which symptoms you want to treat as well as your condition. If it is muscular pain, you will get less pain within one session. However, for fertility acupuncture, the results can be months.

What are the benefits of Chinese herbal medicine?

Chinese Medicine adopts a holistic approach in regulating, nourishing, and continuing to cleanse and detox the system. This practice can assist in resolving diseases and the prevention of a number of illnesses.

Can acupuncture assist to induce labour?

Yes, acupuncture is often used as a safe and cheaper alternative to induce labour. Some of our patients usually can see immediate results even only 1 session. However, this also depends on each individual case.

Can you have acupuncture during menstruation?

Yes, it is completely fine for you to have acupuncture during menstruation. However, we do recommend women who have issues with endometriosis to have acupuncture couple days before to support the smooth of blood flow.

Should I do acupuncture after delivering a baby?

It is recommended by Dr Christine for women to do acupuncture after delivery (ie. post-surgery). This is to reduce stress and avoid baby blue symptoms.

Can Chinese herbs (TCM) help me in losing weight?

Yes, Chinese Herbal medicine (TCM) can reduce your weight because it improves spleen functions. Dr Christine recommends you to do both acupuncture and TCM at the same time to effectively achieve weight loss goals. Of course a healthy diet, regular exercise and reduce alcohol intake will give you faster results.

When is the best time of acupuncture for inducing labour?

Dr Christine recommends pregnant women to prepare for induction starting from week 38. It is easier for new mothers to have smooth labour by doing acupuncture from week 38 until she feels the contraction.

Dr. Chen began learning Chinese medicine in China from her father at the age of 16. She had learnt from and assisted her father in his busy Chinese medicine practice in her spare time for 15 years in China before coming to Australia in 1990.

  I am very grateful to Dr Cui. Before my pregnancy journey with Dr Cui, I did not have my period for over a year. After consulting with her, she helped me regain my menstrual cycle through traditional chinese medicine and acupunture. She's very attentive and helped me balance my body. She gave me a treatment that is personalised to my situation. She's very attentive and caring, and not long after, I'm pregnant with my baby boy! I had almost lost hope at this point and didn't expect anything much so this is a pleasant surprise.

  When I went to Dr. Christine Cui, my partner and I were in the process of starting IVF, had attended all the seminars, and were about to start the physical process. Then my friend recommended Dr. Cui, and it was amazing. Within six weeks of starting treatment with her, we found out we were pregnant after years of trying. She was supportive and knowledgeable, and I can't thank her enough, as we have just had our first child.

  The service with Dr Christine has been amazing! I had initially booked a few sessions to help stimulate spontaneous labour at 40-41 weeks, which definitely helped! Dr Christine provided such care and expertise throughout each session, with a very calm and reassuring presence. Following birth, I also followed up with several sessions to assist with recovery, which has also been incredibly beneficial for energy and physically restoration.
